Block Gauges make precision measurements of bores and cavities a simple and reliable process. A range of springs are available to ensure that tip forces can be maintained with the Block Gauge mounted in any attitude.
The standard DP range of Spring Push Probes has justifiably become the work horse of the gauging industry. Very high resolution, excellent linearity and high data speed come as standard. Long life precision bearings, and an IP65 rating ensure that probes maintain their performance for millions of cycles.
The standard range of Pneumatic Probes comes with an IP65 rating to ensure a long working life in wet or oily environments. In order to ensure the probe is totally sealed to IP65, actuation is achieved by pressurising the gaiter.
With very low tip forces coupled with user selectable options of high resolution and data speed, Feather Touch Probes are ideal for the gauging of delicate high precision components. Long life bearings ensure that the performance of the probes are maintained through millions of cycles in industries producing high volumes of components on short cycle times.
Feather Touch Probes are designed specifically for applications where low tip forces are critical. Air is vented through the shroud at the front of the probe during actuation, which in turn cleans the bearing. With no gaiter to protect the shaft from contamination they are unsuitable for use in wet or oily conditions Blank_1 Quick Links Technical Data Sheet CAD Drawing Manual Knowledge Base Related Products Digital Orbit3 Network
The DZs are probably the shortest probes available on the market with a full 1mm or 2mm calibrated travel. A bearing size normally found in much longer bodies ensures a long life. The small size, coupled with enhanced linearity and resolution, makes them ideal where space is a problem.
The DT/30 range of Pneumatic Push Probes is designed for use in automatic gauging applications where extra mechanical travel eliminates the need for pneumatic actuators. These probes are to be used where a parts cavity or hole depth needs to be measured. The shaft retracts up to 31 mm allowing simple automatic loading of the fixture. The DT/30 is available with 5 and 10 mm measurement range.
The Ultra Feather Touch probe carries a low 0.03N tip force, and can be used on delicate materials, or surfaces that cannot be marred or scratched. The probe carries an accuracy of 6 microns, with outstanding repeatability. Like other Solartron Digital probes, it comes pre-calibrated, and is a viable alternative to finicky non-contact solutions. The probe can quickly and easily be connected to a readout, PLC, or computer via the Solartron Orbit network.

With the D6P probes, a 25% diameter reduction over conventional probes has been achieved, yet performance and life expectancy has been maintained. Long life precision bearings ensure that probes maintain their performance for millions of cycles
The Ultra Feather Touch probe has so light a tip force, it is a viable alternative to a non contact sensor in many applications. With various tips in ruby and nylon the UFT is already being used to check glass, rubber, semiconductor wafers and other delicate materials.

The Rugged digital probe is an option for environments where a standard probe may be easily damaged. The 12 mm body has thicker walls than the standard gauge probe, while a larger bearing with a 5 mm diameter shaft copes with sideload and impacts far better.
Quite possibly the world’s thinnest probe, the tiny 3 mm diameter allows for even tighter packing densities for measuring features on intricate parts.
Feather Touch transducers have been designed especially to gauge or measure delicate surfaces such as car windscreens, pharmaceutical bottles, electro-mechanical components and plastic parts. Where as a traditional transducer exerts a tip force of approximately 0.7 N, the Feather Touch exerts a mere 0.18 N when used in the horizontal position. This reduction is achieved by replacing the gaiter with a close tolerance gland.
Vacuum retract transducers offer an alternative to pneumatic push probes where automatic actuation of the probes is required. Vacuum retract allows for more flexibility in the contact force as this is controlled by the probe spring rather than by air pressure which can be more difficult to regulate with many probes on a gauge. The standard range of vacuum probes comes with IP65 sealing to ensure a long working life.
'J' type probes are similar to standard pneumatic probes except that actuation is by an inbuilt piston. High tip forces are available but as air is vented through a port close to the front on the probe, they have a lower IP rating.
